We have private health cover with ASSSA. Our cover includes house calls, although we have to phone ASSSA first and get authorisation. But that's only half the story because if you can't find a GP listed with ASSSA who will do house calls, it's irrelevant whether you're covered for it.

We can have a Dr. But it’s a matter of finding one who would come out if it was required.
That’s why I’m asking for any recommendations. We haven’t needed one for the past 18 years but I could have used one this week. Problem over now but as I said, future reference

for those who say NHS docs make house calls can I just say...my mum now on end of life meds!!!!!!! and all without seeing a doctor. My husband had to go to surgery and talk to the doc who promptly issued a prescription. People who know us are truly shocked so don't hold your breath.

Having said this, I really hope you do not have to suffer like we are.

Whether Spanish is spoken or not. It is impossible to get a dr or nurse to do a home visit. My mum has late stage Alzheimer’s hasn’t eaten for 4 days is now bed bound I have to get her to clinic of hospital or an ambulance. As an experienced carer to Alzheimer’s and dementia among other things for many years the way patients are handled and moved around here would be classed as assault in uk. I am now looking into a private medical center to come and take blood for tests for my mum.
