private dr for Cortisone injections and diagnosis of pain

I had an emergency at the hosp and after having a pain injection and xrays dr said no bones damaged just swelling and pulled muscles he gave me a prescription for pain and today I went to drs as still in pain and tablets had run out for my shoulder and back. The dr gave me a repeat prescription but told me I need to seek private as I cant keep getting tablets need to get the problem sorted so told me I might need an ultrasound or mri scan.
Can any recommend a private dr and do you know how much it would cost for these tests

Dr Ballester, across from the petrol station, by the arches in Quesada. We use him via our private medical cover but you can just walk in & pay, I believe a consultation is €40 & then whatever meds or other you need. He is a very sympathetic Dr who fully understands English but let's his nurses do the translating for him. I feel certain he would point you in the right direction & possibly advise regarding costs. Oh!! & he is open Saturday mornings too.

You can go to the Private Hospital Quiron in Torrevieja. Just go to the emergency department and they will sort you out.

Quiron is a rip off hospital. I know a top doctor who works there. They're so expensive ... I'd try I-Med in Elche

Hi, Vixen14 did you manage to get your injections done. If so where did you go and what was the cost? I have been advised that I need them done in my shoulder.
I have enquired at Clinica Mejorate in Los Montesinos and they have quoted 150€

Try Dr. Ballester near the Arches as per a previous post. Everyone has a good word for him. Have used him but a few years ago now so can't comment on prices.

Quiron is very expensive, when I have a mammogram I then have to see the consultant for him to tell me the results of the scan and that all's OK, that alone is 130 - 140 euros plus 120 - 130 for the mammogram and another 120 for the ultrasound. All in all for a mammogram around 400. I now go to the public hospital.
