Hi everyone. I have lived in Spain for 18 months and as I get a little older I need the services of the local health Centre in Dona Pepa.

There is a new lady doctor who is very good but she does wish that you take a translator with you.

I found a great guy Luke from this site. He was excellent and even explained the medication that I was prescribed.

I now have a hospital appointment and a blood booked that I may not have received if I had been on my own due to communications issues.

Luke was very helpful and we had a nice chat when we were waiting. Nothing was to much trouble for him.

If you require a first class translator give Luke a call. 684 359 470.

What is the name of the lady doctor, has she replaced an existing doctor or is she an addition to the surgery, do you know?

Sorry cant remember the name but she replaced Dr Esiliv I think that was his name.

She is nice but does request a translator.

She replaced the Dr everybody was complaining about on a post a few months ago.

The confusing thing is her name is very similar Dra Esteve. She is very nice, and yes she does prefer you to take a translator if you are not fluent in Spanish. I never took a translator as I only needed a repeat prescription, which I usually do on line but the system was down so my visit was straightforward.

Yes she is nice. Dr Esteve was my doctor and he was different thats for sure. I guess it is not easy for anyone. If you are not fluent and the doctors are not also.
It is in out hands really to try to learn.
