Does anyone know anything about alert tracking systems. We have an elderly neighbour who has had a couple of scares recently who feels its time to do something to be able to alert someone. Just about to start researching on his behalf but any advice like who do they alert etc or experiences would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I had a Telephone based system for my dad in UK, cost about £40-£50 with no ongoing service charges. You programme in up to 3 numbers of relatives/friends and it comes with a neck/wrist button and when pressed it calls the numbers in sequence until 1 one answers and then plays a message to identify the caller . . . If they are in earshot of the phone you can speak with them as it goes into speaker mode . . .
Downsides are that it needs a landline and the person needs to be within 100 metres of the phone . . . although there should be a mobile based system like it by now . . .
It worked well and I must have been alerted to him falling about half a dozen times in all . . .
search Suresafe on Amazon UK to see what I mean, although its not the same brand I had . . . I'm not sure what they would be called in Spain . .

There was a health company advertising an alert/alarm system for the elderly on the local radio stations, and I think in the papers, when I was ober towards the end of last year. I can’t remember the name of the company, but I’d be surprised if the adverts have stopped totally.

The spanish Red Cross do this, installing a telephone based panic button that can be worn around the neck or as a bracelet

They do have english speakers and have an office in Almoradí

I think you will need a letter from the doctor, but the red cross people are super helpful and i know of a couple of people who wouldn’t be here today without them

Good luck
