hi everyone,
I’m having a small operation on 6th July but travel to Spain on 10th July, this will be too soon to have the stitches removed, the doc advised I have them removed whilst n Spain, I’m in Dona Pepa, is it possible to have them removed at the local clinic near coopers bar ???

Thanks

Darren

If they are not the dissolving type, it is easy to remove them yourself, with a sharp pair of scissors and a pair of tweezers, but I would strongly urge you to check with the doctor who did them that it is ok to remove them first. If your heading back to the UK soon after the 10th July, leave them until you see your doctor again.

Yes. NO PROBLEM. This happened to my husband a few months ago. Just take your European health card with you. They may send you to Rojales town hall for a temporary zip card (free)

Yep...not a problem....our friend had his stitches out at the local health centre last Friday

Take EHIC, passport and register the problem with the receptionist. She gave him a temporary SIP card (which lasts a month)
Then she gave him an appointment one hour later with the nurse.

Great help from the Health Centre
