Bernie59, Iv'e had both my knees totally replaced, the first in December 2015, and the second in March of this year. I found that the exercises that the hospital gave me to do, combined with walking to build up the muscle has been sufficient no need to bother with Physio's, unless there is an underlying problem, if this is the case then go back and see the surgeon that did the procedure.

Thanks, maybe I'm just getting impatient, finding the bending difficult, walking OK.Got final.physio at hospital next week and see then.

make sure that you do the stretching exercises, (at least 10 reps each time) at least 3 times a day, with regards to bending, I found that if I lay on the couch with my leg over the arm, do your bending exercise then and just try to relax your leg you will find that over a relatively short amount of time gravity will assist the bending process and you will soon get the expected 90 degree bend or more. Be patient it is a bit of a drawn out process, but with a bit of perseverance it will soon come.
