Can I get treatment for wet macular degeneration on the Spanish health care system? I know it is available at private clinics for 700 Euro, too expensive!

There's a very good department of ophthalmology at Torrevieja hospital. I'm sure your GP would refer you if necessary.

My wife has had in excess of 30 injections on the Spanish health service at Torrevieja Hospital. The team there are great, and very efficient.
If there is anything you want to ask, maybe send me a pm?

Thank you for the information, I was worried that the treatment was not covered in Spain.
I will ask my doctor.

Can anyone recommend a good English speaking optician, not necessarily for an eye test but to check the eyes for a possible problem?

Thats the clinic im taking dad to on Tuesday for MD. Been going for a couple of years, they are very good there. The dr recommended some tablets to buy not on prescription and they seem to have helped by the condition not getting any worse.
