Hello
I am looking for advice on how to apply for my sip card
I have work contact and social security number ect also pardon and nie .
Could someone point me in the right direction? Do I need to go to where I obtained my social security number or do I go to town hall or Rojales medical center?
I keep being told different things! Thank you in advance for your replies .

Either the health lady in the town hall or the health centre will issue you with a temporary one - basically the same as an EHIC but allocates you a doctor.

We are both in possession if S1 pensioner certificates, NIE and a Padron, and are living here permanently but they will only issue a temp card (paper) with no allocated GP.
Their view is we need residencia first.

I would advise getting residencia a.s.a.p. and become legal, particularly in view of Brexit - things are changing.
It was a few years ago now, but I just took my S1 to the lady in the town hall who sent it away for me and my permanent SIP card was there a week later.

Am assuming you have not got residencia yet because you are waiting for an appointment? There is probably no way round that as a permanent SIP card is for residents... And until you are registered as such, you are not legal residents of Spain. Keep trying for an appointment. Evidence that you are in that position might be important if there a no deal Brexit, as the Spanish authorities have stated they'll take a range of evidence for pre-brexit residence ( needed to allow an easy transition to a third country TIE card),if people could not get an appointment.
In the meantime, at least until the end of this month, your temporary sip will have to do.... Not sure what will happen to EHICs and temporary SIPs from 1 November though if there no deal. Hopefully the temporary SIPs at least might still be valid.

You will need your EHIC card( valid date), an up to date Padron( Town Hall). You can then present these to get your SIP either at theTown Hall( but only on certain days) or from your medical centre(Dona Pepa)
However, the card is only valid for 6months and then you have to renew it. You may also need to have your passport with you if you are applying for the first time.
