Does any one know why Prozac is not covered by NHS anymore. I am a British pensioner with Spanish residency & S1 card. Prozac has always been covered by NHS but last month when I went to pick up my prescriptions I had to pay for my Prozac. I asked in the pharmacy why but they couldn’t give me an answer. It would be really helpful if I could find out which office in Britain I need to phone to enquire about this.

It's got nothing to do with the UK if you are a Spanish resident and in the Health system.

So if you are a resident you have the SIP card ? If you are and do you are covered by the Spanish Health system. The UK pay Spain a specific amount each year but what you get prescribed and what you pay is up to the Spanish health system / Govt not the UK

Make an appointment to discuss this with you doctor, who might want to reaccess your requirements or arrange tests. In some cases I‘ve know people being prescribed a similar medication. With all medication it’s best to have regular tests.
