Correction its called Attendance Allowance

I've actually applied for Attendance Allowance. Filled in the 30 pages & sent them off.but heard absolutely nothing, not even if they received it. Will be telephoning when I have a moment, but have too much to do at the moment what with my husband's recent death.

I'm sorry for your loss Phoenix. I think it took them about 8 weeks to write to me saying I'd got the award. Hopefully you kept a copy of the form and sent original by recorded delivery

Yes I've got a copy & I sent it 'signed for'. Hope that was good enough. I didn't send it 8 wks ago, so hopefully there's still time for me to hear. (must have been about 4 wks ago)

Yes recorded delivery should be enough and as you say there is still time. I believe some staff are working from home during Covid so that'll slow thing up no doubt.
