How many Kw of electricity have you used per month, according to your bill?

Pete.

Hi,
We have also paid about 71 Euros for a 2 month period. We only spent 3 days at the property in that period and have 1 fridge that runs all 24/7.
I reckon it's on the high side too.

I would like to know what other's think too.

Thank you.

It would depend on how much you use your pool pump. In the summer, it could cost up to €2 a day which is €60 a month.
The fridges (modern type) should be no more than €3 a month (possibly double if older). Add that to the standing charges (around €30 a month for a 5.57Kw potencia contract) and you are approaching the €100 a month with taxes and charges.
The pool pump will probably be about 1.75kw so running that for 10 hours a day (in the summer) would be 17.5Kw at 12 cents (ish) per Kw or the 2 euro a day mentioned.
Obviously, in the winter months, it won't be on for that long.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, i don't have the bill at hand as it's sent to the apartment.
But from the above replies, it appears the 30 euros monthly charge for a 5.7kw may explain the bill.

Hopefully, when i'm out there next time, i'll go through the bill.

Regards
Zuby.

You can get your bills online, just register with ibedrola.

Download the Iberdrola distribution app as well. It gives real time energy consumption as well as daily, weekly and monthly. Displayed as graphs and numerical. Also downloadable in Excel format to see hourly readings.
You need a smart meter for it to work, but you can download and register before hand if yours is not yet fitted,

Iberdrola online allows you to track your usage...I find it really useful.

At the moment, I have my pool pump running for 2 hours a day, and the fridge is on. As I'm currently out of the country, nothing else is running. I'm checking the bill each day and recording the figures.

Over the last month I've averaged around €0.85 per day, which I'm pretty happy with.

My wife is very good at only buying stuff for the fridge that we will use whilst in Spain. If there is anything in the fridge on the day we return to the UK, she gives it to our next door neighbour who lives full time in Spain. This way, we can switch our fridges and freezes off whilst not in Spain.
