Hi, we recently bought a property in Rojales Hills. It has mains gas and a combi boiler with central heating radiators. As far as I can tell, the previous owner had not used the system. I have contacted the gas company & am now on a contract for gas supply.
We require a gas service engineer to check through the system and have it available for use over the coming months.
Recommendations please.

I would think that the gas company would be able to send their engineer and then they and you would know that it is safe, hope this helps, don't go with any freelancers unless you can be sure that they are qualified, there is no Corgi in Spain good luck

I would contract and independent compqny/freelander since the gas company would be so much more expensive and they also subcontract a freelancer.
The company that works with gas need a certify.

If the gas company who supplied the mains gas to the property converted the boiler from bottled gas to mains gas it should have been inspected and tested at the time of installation. You should ask the estate agents for the inspection certificate from the previous owner.
