We use Telfy for our on/off internet service. It is around 25e per month and its for 50gb speed - perfect for our iptv box.
As for insurance, I would personally wait until you get a response/reply from someone who has actually made a claim on their insurance and its been a good experience. At all costs avoid an underwriter called Caser. Also remember that you get what you pay for in terms of insurance, believe me I learned the hard way.
In the meantime, welcome to our wee slice of paradise.

I used Currencies Direct when selling my Villa and as a Newbie to this sort of Money Transfer was very pleased with the service. (My Husband was in Banking all his working life so we had always used the Bank previously)

Check the exchange rate you can get on the different sites at the time you want to transfer. We actually used Currency Direct to transfer large sums of money to our Spanish bank account for the house purchase but now use Transferwise for the smaller amounts for upkeep. There's also Moneycorp and Smart Currency to try, but they do all quote slightly different rates. Go for the best rate at the time. Take note of any charges though as that will offset the rate you get.

We used currencies direct for the house purchase but don’t transfer in one lump sum. We were told to transfer in 30000 blocks. Now we use TransferWise for our monthly transfers. Easy to arrange and rates are usually very competitive.

We had a similar problem with our house alarm..We didn´t know how to use it and were not sure it was working anyway..

We rang a few alarm companies and they all said that the alarm we had was obsolete and we would need another, starting at about 350 euros..

Then I rang Besure alarms (search on here for comments on them).. they said they would come to look at it... they changed the battery, checked all the sensors , told me the alarm was fine and left it up and running... charged me 40 euros..

..Good luck with the move, use this forum and enjoy the journey..

.. :D
