I was adding an audio book that Id downloaded onto my iPod. It came up saying my iPod was corrupted and did I want to restore it and so I went through procedure and it showed a circle with a diagonal line through and said to not disconnect. It was like this for a while and then showed a tick and said ok to disconnect. Then the Apple sign came on an a message briefly came on and said use iTunes to restore. I plugged in and it never recognized the iPod.

Afterwards I couldn't get iTunes to work either. I've uninstalled iTunes but have just read where you should also uninstall other software that goes with it before I install iTunes again.
I just wondered if I should have uninstalled and what to do now. Also I have a classic iPod that just shows the Apple icon

Hope I've not bored you with all the details
Rita

Take it to the guys in quesada behind the sabadell bank. Very professional and very good at resolving most if not all tablet queries.

Re-install Itunes, plug in the Ipod, when Itunes recognizes it go to properties and "restore to factory settings". That should cure the problem.

Thanks for advice, and I have Re-installed iTunes which is fine except some of my songs now can't be located for some reason but it's working.
When I plug in the iPod the Apple sign goes off screen and there's a tick and it says ok to disconnect and nothing else.
I don't understand why the Apple sign and ok to disconnect appears. Very confusing and now when I press menu and middle button the Apple sign comes back on and it tells me again to restore using iTunes !!!
I have to give in now cos spending too much time with it and getting no where

Thanks all for help
Rita

Rita, there is a bona fide Apple Store nr Murcia in the Neuva condomina shopping centre and they are the experts
It's under an hour away and well worth the trip
