SIM card size

Any advice appreciated.
I am about to buy a new phone that takes a micro sim card.
My existing sim is the standard size.
Looking on the internet it seems quite common to cut down the standard sim to fit.
(Avoiding the hassle of getting a replacement).
Are there places that will do this for you, or is there a tool made for the job?

I had my 2 SIMS done at IT shop Rioja CC, near Los Dolces, no fee so I gave a contribution to charity box, very helpful guys.

Most phone shops will cut it down they charge about €5
There's a shop in Quesada ,also phone house ( orange) Habbaneras

just ask your sim card supplier / network that you are with, tell them you have a new phone and need a new sim card, they should send this for free, if they value your custom. also most sim cards now come with all 3 sizes in one, a bit like a Russian doll effect,as in they pop out of each other for all 3 sizes, down to the size you need, and then pop them back inside each other to make it up to a full size sim again if needed. simple, and apart from a phone call, i would be surprised if its not free.
