Good morning everyone.... We have recently purchased a property in Lo Crispin and intend to use this as our main holiday home. As we run our own business we need to stay in contact via the web and will require a good quality broadband service for the weeks that we are at the house.

Would welcome any recommendations regarding supplier and the ability to switch on and off as necessary.

DVBlab seems to be the one to go for for switch on/off

Telfy also do a switch on /off internet also

Be careful when signing up as with most providers I believe you have to honour the first 12-18 months contract before you can actually use their on/off service!

You have to do your homework to see how it works for you, based on how often you're out and installation charges etc. DVB Lab for instance, charge over €100+ for installation if you want the on/off service, free if you don't (at least when I approached them). I went with ScanSat as they didn't charge for installation and you get 12 months for the price of 9 if you pay up front and as we/family are out regularly the on/off didn't save much/anything as the full Month "on" overlapped with other visits.

We live in Lo Crispin and use DVBlab on/off service with no problems for the past 6 years.

HI kgj, we have Wi-Fi via a small dish , installation was around 100euro, then when we arrive we get it switched on , a month is the minimum but as we come for a month at a time it suits us , 19 euro has been the charge per month for years . There are two fibre optic companies that are authorised for lo crispin, your President will know the details if you want to go that route
