I have an Old Sony Bravia TV and have satellite through a Formuler S-Mini box. I wish to have a record function but don’t know how to do it. Can anyone help please.

You need to give the s-mini something to record onto - either a Micro SD card plugged into the slot on the back, or a USB memory stick or external hard drive plugged into the USB port on the back.

I believe that large recordings are split into 4Kb chunks, which can make playback awkward, so maybe choose a lower resolution recording format.

Maybe buy a new set top box like a Humax, does the job very well
