I have been told about this by a friend and also seen posters in the Postroom in Dona Pepa. I am currently with Vodaphone paying twice as much as Lobster would charge.... anybody signed up? are they any good?

Hi Freethinker,i am with lobster and am very impressed with their service, everything is in english even the operators .Everything was so easy. I was on contract with vodafone for over 15yrs and it was getting so expensive but i wanted to keep my number, they done everything and was on with them within a couple of days with vodafone cancelled, you can speak with them on 1661 for free from your phone ,it is movistar coverage so very good , hope this helps

You want to make sure that your Vodafone contract has been cancelled I did the same thing with Aeromax and ported my number across to them from Vodafone who I had been with for 20 years and they still billed me for the next 2 months and when I refused to pay I got a letter from Experian which is a debt registry threatening to take me to court they even rang me every day for 2 weeks .

I was given to understand the Lobster was for expats travelling around Europe when I spoke to them and was no good for using as a data service for internet

Thanks for the advice . I'll certainly look into that.... not good news about Vodafone. I must have been a customer over here with them for around 15 years and always thought better the devil you know., but I'm trying to move on and save a few euros.

Ive been with lobster a month now. Had 2 problems re loosing internet, and both times after ringing them, i was sent an app to download. Thats ok if you can get to wifi, but i was travelling in a motorhome, so no wlfi close by....
I lost 4g around Almaria for no reason. Tried to get assistance on 1661 and they were very helpful but went on to tell me that if you go out of the country, for the first time with the phone, you must telephone them so they can activate it.
Also realised that you cant tel France from Spain on the bundle, but need to load money on the phone and pay per call. There is no French flag on the countries that the bundle covers so beware of that. I was told they are hoping to resolve the French issue.
My husband has a vodafone bundle costing 15 euros a month, and never looses internet, whilst travelling from country to country. Lobster is 12 euros, so you seem to get what you pay for. If i have more issues with loosing internet , im decamping to vodafone as, although the English help line are very good,,, at the end of the day i just want un interupted internet on my phone...
