It might be your best bet to go into an electronics retailer as they may be able to sed back to Samsung service centre or have a better knowledge of other local options.

There is/was? one in San Luis urb far on the right hand side, first junction as you come into the URB - but (a) I am not sure if they are there anymore (b) Can economically fix these type of TV's.

You may find by the time you replace a circuit board or similar, that the repair could be 1/3 or 1/2 of the price of a new TV. Costs of TV's falls quickly - a quick look on the media markt website shows a 50 inch Thompson at €379 and Samsungs 50 from €529.

Not rushing to spend your money for you ;-) Just may be worth considering as quite often you have to question is it worth spending a substantial amount of money on an older TV, as the fixed parts are new, but the rest is the same age.

Thanks for update Nottsman - i'll know to NOT recommend it next time. Sorry, not been down there for ages.

There may be another in Rojales - though not been there for ages, i'll pop past in the next day or two and still see if it exists if so, will advise before wasting your time (again).

Sorry.

Unfortunately, that re-enforces my theory, that generally speaking - most modern TV's are not viable to repair. Or most now simply replace, rather than repair - simply down to the cost of new TV's and the manufacturers don't make the circuit boards / panels or spares that cheap. I think they keep the spares for themselves for 'warranty works' but when independents try to buy in the parts to fix, is expensive, which i'm sad to say, is likely to have contributed to the demise of these type of small businesses.

A quick google search in Spanish does indicate their may be some local ones still around.

'Taller de reparacion de television' - https://www.google.com/search?q=taller+de+reparacion+de+television&oq=taller+de+reparacion+de+television&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.291j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
