It’s not clear from your message how you’re trying to connect to the net? If your router is close by a connection by Ethernet cable would be easiest. You could Use powerline connectors, if it’s not. Or are you trying to connect wirelessly?

Erm.
TP Link is the name of a company that makes equipment like routers...so it is still not clear if you are trying to connect via wifi or ethernet.

And in the MAG box system settings screen there are options (in the network screen) to confirm the ethernet connection, or select and input the password for the wifi network.

In some cases I have found the need to set the ip address and DNS manually, as sometime the automatic setup does not always work, especailly if you have a number of devices already connected to it, and assigns an already "in use" ip address, meaning it will not connect to your router...

Erm...if you are using an ethernet cable to link your mag box to your router, then you dont need to enter the wifi password as you are not using wifi...?!?!?!

You just go to network, wired, Auto and confirm this connection. Reconfirm the connection by going into Network Info, Wired, and the Current Status data should indicate if you are connected or not.

If not then make sure your ethernet cables are correctly inserted into both the box and router... or try another ethernet cable...

It would be useful to know exactly what "cannot get it to see my internet" means", is it saying "connection problem" or what?

Try to be clearer because until we understand what the actual problem is it's going to be hard to fix it.
