Well I contacted a several numbers of companies about Sky Q in Spain and all said not available in Spain. Sky or even Sky + maybe but not Sky Q, However being an electronic engineer, I knew they did not know, They are more interested in selling you IPTV, which in itself has glitches , and internet fall out. Well I've sorted it. However here is what you need. At least a 1.9 0r better a 2.4 metre Dish. you need to change the LMB to a wide band. Then rotate the LMB to about 92 Degrees, Not the dish, just the LMB. and as you need twin coaxial download cables everything should be fine. So the Sky Q box is so small I bring mine back and forward in my hand luggage with no problem. I can now watch every channel and Sky sports in UHD, no problem. I m not going to do it for you but if you need help, get back to me.

If your an electronics engineer, why are you referring to an LMB? Surely satellite dishes require an LNB??? You’ve mentioned LMB 3 times!

Of course, as you have found, it is available in Spain. So no idea what they were on about. Perhaps the difficulties in getting the systems, as the boxes are, unlike previous boxes, always owned by Sky, not usually available as freely as older boxes (need first to be installed by Sky at a UK address, which limits things for people with no uk address to do the install at!), and of course for the on demand content a VPN / SDNS service is needed.

L N B - low noise block

Do you also get ITV1HD on 103? Some of the regions are very very weak.
And channels like "yesterday" - again the SD UKTV channels are very weak.
These require both the dish and (a decent) LNMB and its skew to be spot on - not just "put it to 92 degrees". Also, different LN/MBs have different skew angles, so whilst the one you have is set to 92 degrees, others will be different.

Yes I get ITV1 HD on 103 . I use an original SKY Q LNB ordered one from Amazon in the UK, but you need at least a signal strength of 70 and Lock of 90, if your signal is week say only 50 then no ITV HD but you should still get Normal ITV .

Ha! I’m sure it was just a typo, I didn’t really mean to have a go at the guy but looking at my post again, the tone of my response is not the best. Sorry

As an installer i use a professional signal meter so signal readings are all in DB (the actual signal measurement), much more better and accurate than the "readings" on the box screens. Usually the HD channels need a 7.7db minimum to start to function, sd about 6-6.5.

The signal reading screen on a SkyQ box will only shows the signal for the data stream frequency that is used for the boxes when in the menu system, not for individual channels. So it is hard to aligned correctly and fully for a single channel using a reading that bears no resemblance to that channel. And, of course, these "readings" differ from box to box, and also depends which of the 4 ITV1 HD frequencies your 103 is allocated with, depending on which region your sky card is aligned with.

Do you get Yesterday, one of the very skew sensitive channels ?
