Thought I'd join the thread as I'm new to the forum but not new to Heredades. I've been in the village for a long time and know it well.

Any other questions feel free to ask and I'll try my best to answer. Re. supermarket delivery, I looked on the websites of all supermarkets in the area recently and Heredades was not within the delivery zone for online orders anyway. That doesn't mean that they won't deliver (as per the info about Consum), though it may mean that you have to go into the store to choose your food and pay and then they will deliver it to your house for you. They don't speak much English at most of the local supermarkets though, so it might be adviseable to get a Spanish speaker to check.

To the poster who mentioned Casa Antonio, that's just across from the village in the Industrial Estate and can also highly recommend it, either for menu del dia or a la carte.

I'm not sure where your house is but you'll find that all the British residents in the houses/apartments in Residencial Heredades and also Res. Jennifer or the Solimar apartments near the school are very friendly/helpful so if you bump into anyone and have any questions I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

Couldn't be anyone else cliffyrmd! It's not so bad, nice and quiet and surrounded by orange groves and the river. You should come back and visit some time.

Me, cheeky. Never  It is peaceful, most of the time (certainly not fiesta time) - personally i'd rather a bit of peace and quiet, if I want noise - a short drive or even walk away...

Hi
Generally all Ferreteria's /DIY stores will cut keys and there should be one in your area. Very cheap and quick!
