Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me what the loud bangs were tonight from around 6pm?

We live near the top of Sierra Morena and my poor dog is beside herself and won't go outside.

Thanks in advance

Sam

Fiesta of San Isidro (Patron Saint of Farmers or something to do with farming/crops etc.). Party at La Romeria.

Yes, it was the annual romeria with large group walking from Rojales town centre to El Recorral park at 8 am & returning from the park at 8pm.
The usual loud fireworks all along route & between 5pm & 8pm they were also used during the children's races.
Its always the Sunday nearest to May 15th.

Hi Sam you can get some pills from the vets if you need to as throughout the year this happens a lot, one of our dogs was worse than the other but she is not so bad now with time.

I didn't realize you could get pills from the vets. Think I will ask when it comes to the summer fiestas. Unfortunately in our area, Dona Pepa, there's always loud bangs going off at any night during the week and my dog is absolutely terrified, pees all over the place and runs around shaking and crying. I don't know who sets off these loud fireworks when there's no fiesta, but I really wish they would pack it in.

The Spanish let off Crackers and Fireworks for all sorts of events. Not only Fiestas and all the year round.
I would get your Dog some tablets soon. Trouble is nobody knows when the Fireworks or Crackers will be let off. You get used to it but the poor Dog might not.

Yes I know, I've lived in various parts of Spain for 13 years, but find that Dona Pepa area is worse than any other area I've lived in for the very loud bangs....not just the crackers and when it's happening week in, week out I think it's probably a local lad who sets them off for fun. You can't keep feeding the dog tablets nearly every day.

Please lets not start to complain about SPANISH letting off fireworks, this is normal. when someone scores a goal Alonso wins a F1 GP or wedding or Fiesta. This is Spain enjoy it.
