Hi, has anyone had any experience of 112 ambulance services? If so do they speak English and provide a comparable service to the UK 999 Ambulance services? Many thanks.

Yes, they do speak English and yes, they are very good. Chap across the road had to call an ambulance for his wife and they were there very, very quickly. Very professional and had her in hospital where she was treated immediately.

I have called 112 on 2 occasions. As soon as they start speaking , ask for someone to speak English and you get transferred to an English speaker immediately. They ask all the normal questions and normally send a police car with an ambulance. The first time I did wait awhile for the ambulance but the second time ( for a car accident) they were very quick to arrive.

112. No need to put a dialling code in front as this will connect you from any mobile or other phone.
