TRANSLATOR REQUIRED FOR AD-HOC MEDICAL APPTS.

Hi Everyone
I hope there is someone out there that can help me.
We have been in Spain for nearly a year now and whilst we are quite pleased with the way we are picking up the Spanish language, I know that I struggle when I go to the doctors. We go to the medical centre in Lo Maribu and every time we go there, the medics speak to us in Spanish (as is their right as we are the visitors to their country).
I managed OK when it came to getting a repeat prescription and when I had a chest infection but I now need to make an appointment to get the sugar levels in my blood tested. I have read that you can take an interpreter with you but I do not know where I can find one.
This forum has always come up trumps when I have posted previous questions and so I thought I would give it another try.
Do any of the forum members act as interpreters and if not, do you know anyone who might be able to help me out on this one?
All suggestions would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
Sam
