Talk Quesada forum

Our community president attended a meeting at the Municipal Centre this morning and there are a few points to report:

1) Help at Home gave a short presentation. They can help people in need but they do not offer nursing care. If you want more information their e mail is - [url=mailto:[email protected]][email protected][/url] and mobile number is - 693027026.

2) There is a delay to starting the work on Avenida de Naciones (single file parking). Hopefully, the work will start next September.

3) There will be 90 free parking spaces in the new Commercial Centre.

4) Regarding the lack of parking spaces in Quesada, the Council is negotiating to convert the land opposite Don De as a car park.

5) There are plans to build a 'Mas y Mas' on the land where the Russian man had his caravan. This land is close to the centre of Quesada.

6) There are plans to re tarmac more roads.

7) There are plans to paint the white lines. It was explained that it is expensive to do this and the lines fade.

Wont hold my breathe.......!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the white lineing , instead of the crap paint they use at the moment ,why do they do not adopt what we use in the UK, which is a hot plastic based mastic which is impregnated with powered glass which lasts for years unlike the paint which barely lasts a couple of years and causes confusion leading to accidents .

Sorry, for us newbies where is the land where someone had a caravan? And when I was on a car treasure hunt(down in Murcia), in one of the villages we drove through, the villagers were painting the lines, Was told the council supplied the paint and the villages did the work! A community project?

Not too sure about the villagers painting the white lines. Can you imagine the number of bad backs it could cause........

....most on here struggle to get out of there pit before noon ...!!!!!!!!

If they took away the single file parking on the Boulevard side, it would free up space to edge out, while still keeping a lot of spaces.
