Any recommendations for accomodation near Bilbao Ferry Port for overnight stay ?

I always use Bookings.com you can choose whatever you want...go to the left hand column and choose WIFI,pet friendly free breakfast...I use them all the time and would recommend

We drove down to Albacete,lovely hotel there through booking.com then a 3 hour drive to quesada.

We used to use the motorway (toll) motel just leaving a half hour easy drive to the ferry the following day. We always found it satisfactory and very convenient.

Thanks for replies .. Has anyone travelled with their dog ? Never went to Bilbao with my dog before.

The Ibis at Barkaldo is a 15 drive to the port. Takes dogs, secure parking, free wifi, evening meals if required, newly refurbished, next to a petrol station and a shopping mall. Ideal for an early morning ferry. Buses into Bilbao centre just near hotel if you want to visit the city. Helpful staff and usually full of Brits and dogs. Book via Bookings.com. used it many times.

We used Hotel Arterxe which is two miles outside Bilbao with wonderful views. It was very dog friendly, provided a dog bed, bowl and dog biscuits. We enjoyed our stay there for the night and so did our two dogs. It is also ideal if you have bicycles on the roof because it is a private car park away from traffic. The hotel was much better than the star rating.
