Hi guys, the exchange rate here is still poor and I'm being told that I'm better exchanging my pounds into euros when I get to Spain. Ive never done this before. Is there anywhere in Quesada that you can recommend and if so, what rates are they offering at present.
Cheers
Paul

Transferwise for me too, a bit fiddly to set up on line but well worth it, excellent exchange rate, very low commission rate, no charges from the banks & fast transfer of funds.
Regards,
Dave.

Transferwise - on line offer excellent rates - you can transfer direct into a spanish bank and then just draw money from cash machine in Spain.

I know of 2 money exchange shops in Quesada. One is not far up from the petrol station, next to Gigi boutique. The other one is in the new boulevard. You take your GBP (notes, not debit/credit card) and your passport in, and come out with euros! Their exchange rates are usually identical. There's not a minimum amount that you have to exchange, and one shop offers an extra 0.005 cent on sums in excess of £1,000. The other shop offers some sort of loyalty scheme.Todays rate, for comparison, is 1.16 euros to 1 GBP.

hi, transferwise for me too, have used it several times, currently rate of 1.18, so if you have a Spanish bank account and an account in anther country, then it is straight forward. search for their website and instantly, on the home screen you can see the current exchange rate, and the small fee they charge. you can swap and change the currency on this home page to and from anywhere. have a look, if it suits you, only then, do you need to register, not before.
