We thought the finale fireworks were pretty spectacular- mind you they were set up in the park opposite the Norwegian school and were right under the flight path.

The 'strangled cat' was a lady singing flamenco, which is not to everybody's taste I guess, and the song was indeed 'A mi manera' - My Way in Spanish.
I quite enjoyed it, but overran their allocated time, meaning that Sofia Sanchez dancers had to cut their display a bit so that the fireworks could start on time.

The Spanish press were saying that there were more people watching the events this year than last with 2000 watching the charanga (parade).
I didn't see that, but heard from others there weren't many entrants this year despite the appeals from town hall for more entrants.
Perhaps next year some talkquesadarians might like to form a group or two to enter?
(Who knows, might even win a prize?)

Meanwhile, here's a short video i made on Sunday night including the cat strangler.
