Can anyone please help or advise: having worked in a bar in Quesada for the last 18months, no contract! I/we decided enough was enough....lets say to much take and not enough give, I/ we gave it up....NOW we are subject to verbal abuse when we are out shopping, walking about town and have even been giving a drive by stare out whilst out with friends and also given hand gestures when he drives past us in the street. We are not the kind of people to cause truoble by any means and we are as honest as honest can be, but I am very disturb by the nature of all this, any advice would be much appreciated.

Who is "he" ?

If you ex employer and you had no contract then just be stronger than he is....

There are a number of phrases coming to mind...
"Sticks and Stone my hurt my bones but words can never hurt me"
"A fairs days work for a fair days pay"

All of what you say is "yesterday", move on - ignore.....

I agree with Avoncliffe. Ignore him and when this moron sees that he is not having the slightest effect on you he will stop his stupid behaviour. Just show him that you are the bigger person. Good luck!!

Thanks for your replies peeps, yes I may need to be stronger, I suppose it will come in time... but at the moment it hurts, I will get there in time, I will not name the bar or person as I have said I'm not that sort of person, just needed a bit of advice. Thanks again x

Jcoop, I agree with avoncliffe, sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but whips and chains excite me. (sorry did I think that one out aloud) :o Seriously though, if you have done nothing wrong, apart from leaving with little notice, then the problem is all theirs. Just keep your head up, and think that the next year is all about you. Good luck
