Well said Scott,
Ryanair offer excellent value for money and as with any other airline “extras” cost. FYI an extra bag with BA is 60e with Vueling 70 with Thomson 57 and in fact, to add a late bag on with the beloved Monarch was 50e!

Ryanair, easyjet and all low cost airlines are the reason we can all travel so cheaply around Europe today and for that we should all be thankful!

Has everyone forgotten?

"The low-cost airline has warned another 400,000 bookings are being axed on top of the previous 315,000 - because of a huge admin blunder involving its pilots"

I will never book a flight with them again...if he can do it once he can do it again.... I don´t know how anyone can complain about Ryan Air if they knowingly book with them... we can see what he thinks of his customers..

Like many on here I avoided Ryanair like the plague, mostly down to the horrid persona of the Chief Exec I expect . . .
Last year I bit the bullet and flew with them for the first time because it was so much cheaper than my preferred (Orange coloured) option and hey, it flew on time, the aircrew weren't obnoxious and all went well.
They do add all sorts of extras if you want them and yes, it can add up to more than initial flight cost, but if you can get basic flight for £18 each way like we have in 2 weeks time its stupid money! The (optional) extras are how they make some money and allow people to travel by air as if it was Public Transport and for much less money than a middling train or Bus journey in the UK for example.
As said above, you can mitigate the extra costs by planning ahead.

I just checked a travel price for the week I'm in Spain in a couple of weeks.

A return train fare to London for 2 adults...£359.

My return flight to Alicante with Ryanair for 2 adults...£96, plus £27 for car parking, £25 for a case, and £34 for a car. £182 all-in.

I won't be complaining about my flight price...!!!

I don't understand how they can vary their prices so much. My partner is a teacher so we're stuck with school holiday prices. We know it's going to cost us more because of this but how can they justify charging £400 per person May spring bank? That's just the flight price, no baggage or reserved seats and not priority. Jet2 are £2 more expensive for the same period. Feb half term £175, Easter £150, July £168 and August £289 and these include reserved seats and priority boarding. Roll on retirement lol!

You could have booked as soon as the bookings opened for that period ast least you had the knowledge that was when you had holidays, a lot of people are not that fortunate and have to take pot luck

That was when the bookings opened. We decided against the May flights.

For me...Ryanair is great...so was Monarch!

Monarch has gone...I miss it....if Ryanair goes...we will all miss it!!

No reclining seats...great idea...tough for ignorant people...know who you are??

Great value flights...more strength to your elbow Michael O,Leary...

And if you do not like Ryanair....fly somebody else!!!!!!!
