Fracking in Quesada

I seem to remember people reporting that a area of land in Quesada had been set aside for fracking operations and i wanted to know if anyone had any up to date info on this. Is it going ahead? Is anyone aware of someone in authority who can be contacted regarding this?

I have watched a few videos on youtube (one of which has seemingly been pulled since) on the subject and i have to say i am very concerned that this possibility will become a reality.

It has potential to cause irreversible damage to the environment and to peoples health and should be stopped. Not to mention extremely irresponsible when the area is already at a high risk of earthquakes.

That was someone hazarding a guess when the question of why a guy in his car plus dog were guarding a field 24 hours a day.
It's been answered since and fracking was not involved.

it seems there are very little mineral deposits in the area according the mineral, mining, & oil survey done before Quesada was built, surely your legal representative must have done surveys before you bought your properties and you read the surveys.

I mentioned this before about the guy with his dog in the waste ground up near Lil, the land belongs to two business partners who have had a falling out. The case has gone to court and the guard is there to stop either of them taking over the landed starting building work. Next time I see the guy with Chulo the dog, I will try and get a update. He is quite happy up there for as long as it takes as it is employment for him.

Someone did say on here (can't remember who) that permits to frack had been given but no other info. Not sure if that person was mistaken or it is really going to happen.
