Try Bibianas in San Fulgencio. Absolutely traditional and great food. Last time there we paid less than 60€ for menu del no he (4 people including drinks)

Goyos is a Spanish restaurant. Their paella is excellent, along with much other traditional fayre.
The other bonus is their prices are very reasonable.

Not quite, Casa Campisano in Daya Vieja, I believe. I agree though it is very good although the chef is English.

We have not been there for food so we will take your word that it is excellent, but a Traditional Spanish restaurant? Stretching the point a bit, it is an Irish pub that does food.

Good traditional Spanish restaurants in the area the list is endless but here are a few, IOHO of course.

El Maite Benijófar
El Resspiro Rojales
Asador Paco Ctra.Cv 920 Km. 20 Rojales
Diegos Heredades

Rincon de Miguel Los Montesinos
Casa Pili Los Montesinos
Doña Isabel San Miguel de las Salinas
Meson el Prado San Miguel de las Salinas
Charlot Benijuzar
Casa Harry San Felipe Neri
Kambalache Catral (Argentinian)

The Old Don Carlos is not an Irish pub. It’s Spanish owned and run and does Spanish food. It’s been there for over 20 years and used to be called The Don Carlos when it was a very basic Spanish bar and restaurant, it changed its name to The Old Don Carlos after an extensive revamp in the early 2000’s.
The bar next door, Cerveceria Don Carlos is owned by the same family and also does very good Spanish food and tapas.
They also own The Little Don Carlos, behind the Hotel Laguna.

You are right, to call Don Carlos an Irish Pub is a joke. It´s one of the best restaurants in Quesada and the MDD is excellent quality and value. Little Don Carlos maintains the same standards. Both very Spanish.
