My laptop has suddenly decided that it has an illegal copy of Windows and refuses to accept the product key printed on the base of the machine. I have the receipt when purchased from computer world in the UK
To effect a repair I need the services of a good local technician. Any advice would be gratefully accepted

Do you know if your Laptop is running the latest version of Windows 10 here is how to check
go to the bottom right of Taskbar you will see a small square box ,left click on that and you will see a panel appear click on All Settings and then look for System should be 1st box on left click on that then look to the left and scroll down to botton where ist says About left click on that and look for Windows Specifications Version Should be 1709 O/S build 16299.192

I would be inclined to give Microsoft a phone call, you've already paid for the license so should not have to pay again.
