im sure this topic has arisen before, but can someone explain why these planes are allowed to fly so low over such a densely populated area? Whatever they are doing, surely it would be safer and quieter to do it over water. If this plane has a problem (and it does happen) there could be a lot of casualties.

Not sure what plane it was but the Spanish do surveys on houses so they do fly over low to do this.

Hope this helps. Pete.

it was up just now but was much higher
when we watched it earlier in the year (sometimes 2 planes) there were lots of aerobatics going on and they were definitely lower.

Young Air Force Pilots training and making a noise, should be more considerate like the British Navy, two new aircraft carriers and no planes!

Funny post ! The planes don't bother us . Will post a picture , when I can find it of the Country Club ( was a flying club originally ) from the early 1980's , Quesada looks like the wild west .

If you don't like low flying planes then don't go to Los Alcazares. We went there for the day once and there were lots....a dozen or so I would say....all flying very low. It was quite interesting whilst we were on the beach and you could watch them from a distance til they got really close etc. But later when we went for lunch in one of the restaurants, and you couldn't really see them, just hear them then it did become a bit of a nuisance. Pilots have to train though so it's a small price to pay.

If you've never seen the Jets flying low over Guardamar Beach Area then you've missed a real treat. They did a circle going over the land and then back again for at least 30mins.

It still does not answer my original question as to why they are allowed to fly over a populated area, and if, as one person replied they are “learner drivers” then that is even more of a safety reason to make them fly over water. Why take the risk?
