Suggestions for disposal

20 Volumes published 1988.
They effectively pre-date the internet! They are listed on e-bay from 5 to 45 gbp. None appear to sell.
I don't want anything from them other than the space they take up, but , as a book lover, I don't know how to dispose of them?
Put them out as household rubbish on the weekly collection?
Local school not really interested. Nor the library.
