Community Pool or Community over sized LOO !!!

Hi all,

Just been to visit my friend, They have just moved on to Quesada, they have the use of a community pool, they took great pleasure in showing me the facility and to be honest it is a nice sized pool with plenty of space and quite private.

I just took it for granted that community pools had a toilet for the swimmers and sun bathers to use, I appreciate that who ever is using the facilities lives fairly local to the pool and should be able to pop home, but need I say more !!!

Maybe so,,,

But before I do, please correct me if I am wrong and will I promise not to go pee pee in the pool :)

Happy swimming

Burnie

Not quite sure what your point is here. Are you seeking approval to pee in the pool or complaining
that others do?

Where I live has a problem every summer caused no by pee but you can guess. Results in pools closed for several days. Big culprits are teenage spanish who believe it is a tradition last day of holiday.

no not seeking approval or complaining that others do just couldn't really
believe that there isn't a toilet on site is this the norm ?
as a father and granddad i know we do not all go at the same time so surely
backwards and forwards all day isn't much fun ?
and no i do not pee in my pool and hope others do not either but my toilet isn't a 10 minute walk either

Hi Jordy,

Why are you not quite sure?

I thought it was quit obvious what my post is about and questioning, Although I do thank you for your comment and the unfortunate misinterpretation of the original post. I appreciate the time you have taken and your input.

Kind regards

Burnie

Must be a huge community you live on. I thought ours was big with 180 properties but it only takes me a minute to walk back to my house.

Problem if you have a "community" loo near the pool. Who's going to keep it clean and stocked with paper?
Probably the full time residents who will once again be financially penalised to finance those who rent theirs out.

Point taken, but surely a loo roll in your bag is no great problem, and with all due respect, living only a minute away make you the lucky one. Not ever body is so lucky,

Otherwise we would all be living at your house :)

I hasten to add, I would assume we all knew about rental properties when we purchased and done our homework on the area ? And the landlord of the 'rental property' would also be paying the community fees otherwise they would not have the pool keys or access to the end of street post boxes.

May I elaborate, When I said ten minutes, I meant packing up my belonging, walk home, do the business and return to the pool area.
I do not understand why people get so defensive on here and behave like they are just wanting to create arguments ?
It was a simple question -
'Do community pools have toilet facilities and if not why not'

I would like to think we are all well behaved whilst enjoying the community area and likewise, to be treated with dignity in the same way we would respect others.

And , seriously how can anyone out way the extra cost against civilized hygiene.

Well , let me tell you. The last place I was in, I’m having a nice evening swim , the pool guy comes along and said , just doing a quick dip test, ok , erm , could you leave the pool please he says, I’m going to have to put a huge treatment in this one, this pool is more pee than water!!!!! Everyone was in quick walking distance from that pool but still full of pee !!! Maybe that’s why they don’t do loos.

Sorry, I disagree on your "I would like to think we are all well behaved whilst enjoying the community area and likewise, to be treated with dignity in the same way we would respect others."
It doesn't work that way. The toilets would need to be checked at least 3 times a day. If no loo roll is provided then I'm afraid some people would simply leave a mess. Swim nappies and plastic wipes would be put down the loo causing extra expense to get them unblocked. (Been there, seen it and lived with the consequences).
It happens. We had a load of kids who thought it would be fun to turn the water fillers on and break the valve that stops it.
We have kids throwing stones into the pools thus blocking the filters and causing more expense.
Just imagine the mayhem they would cause if they had loos to play with.
I think your question of "why not" has been answered. The communities in Quesada are primarily residential. To cope with the extra expense during the two or three months it is "invaded" is not viable.
Unless just those renting out their properties would be willing to pay for the extra expense.
