Hi just purchased a new gel infused memory foam&pocket spring mattress just wondered if anybody else as purchased one and what do you think? Only had a day but can honestly say I didn't notice any difference I also purchased one of those new sweatproof mattress protectors and wondered if that is stopping the mattress from cooling down,I woke up several times during night wet through with sweat,any advice will be greatly appreciated. We have a normal Flex bed in Spain, but in the UK we purchased a Vi-Spring pocket spring bed.
The advice I can give is that most bed manufacturers recommend you try a bed for a month to see if it suits you.
Secondly, with our Vi-Spring and our friend’s memory foam beds, they are more dense and get very hot compared to the conventional spring beds which have more air in them.

We had a memory foam mattress a few years ago and I'm afraid to say I hated it. I found I used to sweat buckets and after about 3 months it didn't seem to bounce back like it did when new. It wasn't a cheap one either. I find the same with memory foam pillows, I wake up in the night with my hair soaking wet.

After about 6 months we changed it for a pocket sprung mattress and that is brilliant.

Thanx guys guess I shall have to wait and see no choice it cost a lot of money!!

Just to get things straight...gel mattresses are NOT memory foam mattresses. The biogel mattresses DO keep you cool throughout the hot months...I've had one for a couple of years.

Memory foam in the UK to keep you warm...biogel in Spain to keep you cool! Bear in mind that a top quality biogel mattress will set you back a good few hundred Euros.

Thanx for that don't no if biogel different but this is memory foam that is impregnated/infused with gel and at €600 not cheap I'm reserving judgement for a few weeks until I get use to it but honestly at the moment in the three days of using it I haven't noticed any difference.
