Just say 'un momento' and leave the phone off the hook. If you have a phone that shows the incoming call phone number just do not pick up.

Block their number that's what I've done in the past when I've had nuisance phone calls

:D We did exactly that, went shopping, came back 45 mins later and the Indian guy was still on the phone !! Impressed by his persistence but I still wouldn't let him repair my computer. :D

It`s okay saying just leave your off the hook, but it means that you have no phone until he hangs up. Just don`t answer it. !!

I usually speak in Welsh to them. They give up then.

Be very careful regarding the advice about leaving the callers on the line, a couple of years ago there was a programme on tv warning people about doing this, as the companies they were reporting on were calling people and if they received an answer would switch them on to a premium phone number, the longer they could keep you on the line the more expensive the call was to the recipient. Not sure if this is the case in Spain, but not worth taking the chance. Just hang up straight away.

I had a call yesterday saying they were microsoft; I replied in a very enthusiastic tone, "Microsoft! Oh wow!...."
Didn't get any further as they hung up!
Shame really, as I knew it was a scam and wanted to lead them along & then tell them I didn't have a computer. (Mine's a Mac anyway!)
