Where oh where have all the lemons gone?

zocco market no lemons just some sad rejects, consum a bunch of green looking fruit, carrefour a box of sad green misshapen lemons. Where have all the lemons gone? Has there been a harvest dilemma?

They have been exported I presume . when I first moved to Spain 11 years ago I could pick them up off the floor on the complex , then the fences arrived and no more free lemons . The farmers were letting them rot , no such thing has you can have them if lying on the floor. I love my lemons and hope that the produce will be back in the shops soon.

Shed loads on lemon tree Rd and el Raso . . . My personal one down to last 2 yellow ones but loads of green ones on the way . . .

Most of the lemons in the shops are imported from South America and the crops there are not yet ready to harvest
The lemons grown in Spain are mostly pulped for juice same as the oranges that are grown locally
