I am told it is being constructed to take the town parking , for when the road alterations take place on the high street later this year. Much needed im sure.

I’ll be surprised if it’s a free car park. When it used to be open before and everyone parked on it free the owner fenced it off so we couldn’t. Now they’re spending money on a new surface it’s not likely they’re going to donate it as a free car park.

The underground car park in the new commercial centre is currently free but if you go in there are always less than a dozen cars parked.

Smack in the middle of the main street (Avda de las Naciones) and opposite the municipal town hall are two new centres. There is Quesada Centre which opened this year and has an underground car park which is currently free and accessed from the main street.
Next to it (and joined on) is Quesada Boulevard and this has a pay underground car park which is accessible opposite the tobacco shop (turn off the main street by Petra Honig estate agents).

Plenty of empty units in both commercial centres. Haven't been passed either for a while but the furniture shop at the Boulevard had closed down and the Centre only had a couple of food outlets (Indian and wraps) and don't know if anything else has moved in since I last went passed.
Lovely coffee and cake shop in the Boulevard and a roof terrace for drinks and so on.

The new car park is being put in place prior to works which will be going on in the High Street. Pavements will be widened and road narrowed, so the Mayor told a meeting in the Spring. Probably going to start work after the holiday season.
