There have been a few threads about it. It's supposedly going to be a Chinese merca and restaurant.

I drove past the new Consum building again yesterday and the metal shutters were rolled most of the way up.
There are definitely big windows under there so it does look like a supermarket after all.

You could see all the check out desks yesterday when the shutters were up - so definitely some sort of retail/supermarket.

I guess from the 'orange' colour of the car park shelters going in that it may well be a Consum afterall

Not sure when it's due to open but I got a €10 gift voucher through in the post to use in the new store.

That's good news, it will be ideal for people living in El Raso and the new estate being built in that area. Also very useful for people travelling along the lemon tree road in both directions. We often come back from the beach at Guardamar, having had a great idea for something nice to eat or drink and have to drive all the way to Consum at Lo Marabu for provisions, before having to drive all the way back to Ave del Mar.

Now that the building etc is being finalised, I'm intrigued as to how you'll get in and out of the place, it's a strange roundabout junction already and what is the curved wall for? If they are enlarging the roundabout I'd thought it would have started by now.
