This place you say is 350km from Ciudad Quesada.

https://www.google.es/maps/dir/Ciudad+Quesada/Calle+G%C3%B3mez+Calder%C3%B3n,+8,+23470+Cazorla,+Ja%C3%A9n/@38.0162976,-3.0264661,8z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0xd63aed613c20bb1:0x94bac222a242efc5!2m2!1d-0.7129007!2d38.0689264!1m5!1m1!1s0xd6fa9973a7f859f:0x940533d4d1d13684!2m2!1d-3.0019344!2d37.9103406!3e0

The problem is that "Ciudad Quesada" is not a city/town, in an area that below to few towns where a company started to build long time ago and put the name "Ciudad Quesada".

For your information there is not 2 towns in Spain with the same name, 102 years ago the goverment pushed some towns to change/complite there names so it could not happend. Examples: Guardamar, Formentera, Callosa add to their names "del Segura" because the river because there were another towns with that names. There is a "Guardamar del Sarria" in Valencia, "Formentera" is an island in Balear Islands and "Callosa d'en Sarrià" is a town in the north of Alicante.

So it is not confusing any name here, but you need to know where you want to go.

Yes, there are 2 Quesadas & the other one is a pretty village in Jaen province - worth a visit but a long way to go!
Also discovered last week when we were in Aragon community, there are 2 Orihuelas.

Anyway, the debate on the total number of Quesadas is by the way.

I messaged the villa owner, got no reply, and the deadline to cancel was approaching, so we cancelled, and in fact I then serendipitously found another place on the far side of the salt lake in Torrevieja, same price, so I booked that, and have pinpointed exactly which building it is on Google maps. The last thing you need after driving a couple of hundred miles is to then spend half an hour driving round trying to find the place your supposed to stay in. That first place, we werent even sure which town it was in!!! I have no idea how other people find it, the combined brainpower of the people here, including me, failed to do so.

Why are the spanish so crap at identifying addresses, ive found so far they are never clear. Everyone seems to have there own methods and ideas of what format and content constitutes a valid spanish address format.

Spanish addresses are short.
They are just the road & number and the community and post code of the town, which is what the address is you were given: CAZORLA JAÉN CALLE QUESADA CP 23470 but they expanded it to: "Quesada, Province of Jaen, Andalucia 23470" i.e. the town of Quesada in Jaen province of Andalucia community with post code 23470.

For a Quesada here the address would be Calle X ROJALES 03170 = Rojales (or Cuidad Quesada), province of Alicante of Valencia community with post code 03170
P.S. Glad you managed to change your booking! I found it easily on Apple maps which I use, and it's about 3 and a half hours drive from here! - which would have been a shock arriving here first!

First I am really sorry about the confusion you had, but I feel affected for some commentary about Spanish.

I just saw TripAdvisor page that you linked and I can see "Quesada, Province of Jaen, Andalucia" on top, and more down... "Sierra de Cazorla, Quesada (Jaén)"

I am sorry you dont know that "Andalucia" is one of the 17 autonomous communities of Spain, that "Jaen" is one of the eight provinces of Andalucia and "sierra de Cazorla" is the name of a mountain area where the river Segura borns.

Even looking at the photos someone that visited that area before could know that this is not Ciudad Quesada, excuse me if that will be your first visit.

Anyway you are relly wellcome but dont blaim Spanish people.

I certianly did know where The Quesadas were, But that wasnt the issue, pinning down which town that apartment was (Quesada, Jaen or Corzorla, Jaen) in proved elusive and no one else here managed to either. If you read the thread, the road mentioned wasnt in the town suggested by the advert. And two different adverts for same property had different towns, and the town that had the right road name (calle Quesada) had no properties that resembled the one in the picture on Tripadviser on that road, so not suprisingly, it was confusing. And at no point did I think it was the Quesada nead Torrevieja. You appear to have misunderstood the original query. The confusion was between the above two towns (Quesada, Jaen or Corzorla, Jaen), which town the advertised property was in, and it was never suggested it was to do with the one near Torrevieja. We did establish, however your assertion there wasnt two Quesadas as incorrect, which is probably why you have got the wrong end of the stick on this.

We seem to have gotten crossed wires on this one. Anyhoo it academic, i booked another , and found it with ease on Google maps, the address was clear.
