Hi All,
I'm looking for recommendations for accomodation a couple of hours away from Santander, would need reasonably secure car parking as our vehicle will be packed with personal possessions.

Burgos is a reasonable stop off. Check Booking.com there are lots all budgets.

Hi Jim, glad you are sorted. For future ref on the A1 just south of Burgos there is a Hotel called El Alfoz de Burgos. Not posh just a motorway stop off but clean, comfortable and very convenient and good value. The restaurant is also good and offers a menu that’s varied and pretty cheap for some things. Google, booking.com etc will find the hotel.
