I am waiting for a part for my car coming from Korea believe it or not. Currently, You can't open the passenger door from the inside. I have to take it for an ITV. Will this affect it passing?

Have you tried the garage on los arcos near to mini golf? I had exact problem with my car. They sourced a part locally and fixed it same day for €30.plus pre itv, and small electric fault. They took it for itv, it passed. Total cost €120. It’s worth a try.

The ITV tester will open the doors from the outside to check the seatbelts.
He should have no reason to find this problem.

Interesting. In the Uk all the door locks have to work, so it would fail if unable to open a door from outside.

But this one does not work from INSIDE Richard

Have now been told by the garage that if they found that the lock does not work it would fail but the good news is they have sourced the part. Thanks for replies

Benjy - is pre ITV like a service (just wondering what they do for E90 incl. your electrical fault)

No, not a service. They check for obvious major faults that would fail itv and tell you if it’s a big job. On mine as I said, just 2 small faults that they fixed before taking it to itv, therefore saving on a re-test

As most Spanish drive around without an ITV for months before its due I should not worry in the slightest. As the previous writer, the ITV is only interested in the major operating criteria, brakes, lights, steering etc.
