Hi Everyone,
i dont have a Humax ,i brought out my sky box 3 yrs ago

this has now developed a fault saying updating software, but that is all it shows on screen

I bit the bullet and ordered another sky box (although i looked at other boxes ), from a selling site in the UK and they only charged me £10 delivery

im using an IPTV box but its very poor, buffering all the time, (probably because i only receive 8mb and its not stable)

cant wait for arrival of new box end of next week

Try - press services on Sky box- you may need to switch off power & then reconnect first - in services press 001 enter the installers menu - go to rebuild option - select it will take some time but if it works shouldn't lose any recordings you have stored. Hope this helps.

Suggest you try this -
On the top of the sky +HD box press and hold for 1 minute the power button until you get one red light.
Release the button for 1 minute.
Press the button again.
You'll get a green light and the screen will say no signal checking
Grab your remote and click tv listings
You're back in business and you've not even wiped your harddrive.
And another comment -
I had to hold the power button for about 2 minutes and then it was in standby for about 3 minutes, but came back as good as new when I pressed the power button and then TV listings like you said. Thanks again. I was just about to do a front panel full system reset, which would have lost all my recordings.
Hope this helps.
