If richardlionheart isn't aware of the beach bar problem sue then he can't have read a local paper all year and yes they are almost all up and running now if not a little late in the summer

None of the beach bars were open earlier this summer due to council restrictions but they have obviously got their act together now. There were no sun beds/ brollies and we had paid for a taxi to take us to la zenia, very annoying

It was a contractual issue, not sure of the details but the Council had the beach bars removed until the issue was sorted.

Most of the local papers have websites like this:
https://www.rtnnewspaper.com/news/costa-blanca-south-news/

Some don’t allow you to read the full story unless you subscribe, but even then it’s enough to get a flavour for what’s happening. If you’re a FaceBook user then liking/following the local newspapers will give you news articles in your FaceBook feed.

Pete.

Best one I've found is Euroweeklys e paper:
https://www.euroweeklynews.com/
It's a bit slow loading up, but it's an exact e copy of the print version. Normally available to read or download from Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and you can read archived copies of the paper stretching back months, excellent for research.
