Hi All...just past Hamilton's Bakery in Benijofar ...on the way out of town is a large area of land that is currently having a large wall built around it. The Town hall when asked say that the area in question is a Green area. However the area has been covered in tarmac. Does anyone actually know what this site is actually going to be ?

It’s ment to be for the benijofar Tuesday market.

That would be much better and attract more variety of stalls, if the rumour is true. It makes sense though.

The Deputacion de Alicante information sign erected on the plot states that the contract is for repair works to the sports centre and enclosure improvements (if Google translate is correct) at a cost of c139K.

They are building a low wall all around the large site (similar to the one built last year all around the animal park by Studz) and have started further groundwork excavations next to the latest link road which has been built alongside Hamiltons.

This doesn't rule out it being partially used for a new market site but may suggest other uses as well?
