has anyone ever used the dermatology unit at the hospital. I am using it and find the dermatologist very rude.
This is strange as everyone else at the hospital are so friendly and helpful.

Hi,
Yes, I've been using the dermatologists there since 2010 for my skin cancer. Used to have a really great doctor but he left and although this other doctor who's been here for the past few years has the personality of a wet fish he's a brilliant surgeon, very little visible scarring on the surgery he's done on me. Don't expect any conversation with him if you do have surgery!lol!
Good luck as I'm off to see him yet again this month.

I've been with my dad for treatment on skin cancer and found them wonderful. In actual fact very friendly and professional. The last visit was about 6 weeks ago.

Good morning, I have been seeing this particular surgeon for over 10years, as has my husband. This man is the most obnoxious person I have ever met in the medical world. He has no empathy whatsoever. I have recently had a skin cancer removed from my forehead. There was no reassurance, I was treated like a lump of meat.

However, he is a good surgeon. After I have finished this current treatment, I am going to see if there is another dermatologist available. I find the stress dealing with him worse that the skin cancer removal!!

Any ideas, folks?

Totally agree with all the negative comments. I am 81 years of age and have had various health issues over the past few years and have been treated with empathy and respect by all the doctors, nurse's and staff at the hospital except for this man. He is so rude and dismissive and makes me feel like I am just a nuisance. So much so that I now see a private Dermatologist.

I
am so glad it's not just me!
He is really horrible, I googled him and he has two private practices one in Alicante and one in Elda and the reviews he gets are wonderful , humane , professional very caring, perhaps he is just like that to his paying patients!! He is awful to the nurses too.
But everyone says he is a very good surgery.

I have seen this man twice.I agree with all the comments above and have been considering going privately because of his attitude! I think his name is Jesus! Not very appropriate!

JESUS NAVAS RAMIREZ was the one we saw first off, and found him to be fine, sorted out dads problem, we don't want to be best friends with him but as long as he is professional and does his job, that's all that matters. The one we saw who did the check up 1 year later was CARLOS HERNANDEZ IBAÑEZ and he too was good and actually friendly,

Sweet Jesus , I think not , but reading his page some people think he is the bees knees.
Maybe he doesn't like foreigners.
I had a biopsy and he threw the results on the desk at me ! I s not a good results , I skied could I talk to someone in English perhaps, he just said your Spanish is good enough to understand.
On his LinkedIn it says he speaks Spanish French and English.
I do believe he is a very good surgeon just not a nice person.

Yes, his name is Jesus (not sweet). I think he just dislikes people! According to a Spanish person we know, he’s just as unpleasant with any nationality.

I’m not sure what to do if I have another skin problem, he stresses me so much. I am sure he enjoys trying to intimidate people. AND I can normally stand up to anyone. He is in a league of his own.
