There is a complaints dept at the hospital if you feel that bad about your treatment. It is near the restaurant but you would have to communicate in Spanish as they do not accommodate other languages. There is a complaint form to fill in (limited space) and you can also put your complaint in an English language letter and put it through a translate programme.

Thanks John , I will complain after my op,not before , as I said I heard he is a great doctor but he really does not make the slightest effort to explain to his patients.
Yet if you read about him on his private clinics ,it's a compleatly different picture ,so he can be nice if he wants .

When I saw him as I was waiting for my op, I felt like saying ‘stop being so rude to me’ but it’s not the thing you say to a surgeon, with a scalpel in his hand...

I must say, just over a week after my bcc removal (10 stitches removed two days ago), the scar is healing remarkably well. He is a good surgeon.

I would complain, but wonder how it would impact on any further treatment at that hospital, as he is the Head if Dermatology.

Yes I know he is but it just makes me angry that he can be so nice to his patients at his private practice but horrible to us .
If you read his reviews you would not believe it's the same man.
but it is there is a photo of him .

Be grateful you receive excellent treatment and don't expect any bedside manner

Chrisdee , I am greatful and I know if I was in Ireland that I would
be on a long waiting list.
It's just that my husband is having treatment there too and the doctors, surgeon, nurses could not be nicer.
I can't understand stand how a doctor can be so uncaring to some of his patients, I left his surgury crying and I don't cry ever.
Maybe if I go to him privately he will be a different person.

Yes I understand it must have been horrible. Something as serious as cancer you would be scared and probably nervous and wanted some TLC from the surgeon unfortunately you didn't get it. Normally we've had a questionaire after trips to the hospital via email asking us to rate different things about our experience and it allows you to add any comments, have you ever had one of those.

Hi

I’ve never had a questionnaire either. I wonder if it depends upon which Department you are having treatment with?

we had an appointment today at 7.45pm. The dermatologist Dr. Vicente Estevan was very friendly.
Was prepared to meet a not so nice person, but he was really good. Explaned and let me show with him. No, no complains at all!
